It's Time For A Federal
Hate Crimes Law

The time has come for our
government to pass a Federal Hate Crimes Law. There should
be no more state to state questioning if it's the best thing
for the American public. How many more people need to die
before our government will protect them?
Every single day you hear
more stories about victims of Hate Crimes. If there were a
Federal Law passed to protect all minority groups, these numbers
would drop drastically. I can't understand why in this day
and age there are still people who believe it's perfectly
okay to berate, beat and kill people over their race, ethnicity,
sexual orientation, religion or other minority group status.
We are making waves in the
United States when it comes to many gay issues, but we must
take ample time to focus on the Hate Crimes Law being enacted
federally.
I believe it's possible to
extend our attention to all gay issues, but this is one of
the major issues that needs to be addressed by our country.
Please write to your State
Senators and Congress women and men and urge them to take
a stand against Hate Crimes in your state. Please tell them
you don't want to see anymore people being violently attacked
or murdered.
This is not an issue of The
Bible. This is an issue of humanity. We cannot live in a civilized
country and allow a select few to act uncivilized. We must
all work together to overcome our differences. We must stand
together as ONE. There is no need for anyone to hate anyone
because of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion
or other minority group status.
We have to take the time to
educate people, to make them understand that you don't need
to hate your neighbor because they're different than you.
We have to teach people that human beings are human beings.
We all breath the same air.
I cannot press the point enough
when it comes to Hate Crimes in the United States of America.
They are unnecessary acts that could be deterred with education
and the proper laws to protect all citizens of our country.
There is something to be said
about loving your fellow woman or man, and that is, it's possible
to do it. Open your hearts and open your minds. Leave the
negative influences of your past behind and look to a brighter
tomorrow. If we join together as a nation, we are unstoppable.
